Caraglio Line

Umberto Cavenago's project involves a large exhibition space at CeSAC in Caraglio. This long corridor, left in a soft semi-darkness, is punctuated by the rhythmic alternation of empty walls. Taking as a reference a small stage that prospectively closes the wing of the museum, the artist cuts the room with a physical and at the same time immaterial element: a thin laser line cleaves the space, scoring and remodulating the equilibrium of the space itself. The void is expanded, amplified and at the same time filled by this slight and decisive sign.
